I am one of the most blessed girls alive! Best thing about me, second only to My God, is Keagon Flowers, my son! It's the greatest privilege in life to be his Mom. Anyone can be a mother but I'm his MOM! I thank God for that opportunity!
I'm really protective of those I care about- family and friends. I enjoy… spending time with my family, the outdoors, camping, fishing, horses, gardening, enjoying what God has given and never take any of it for granted. I love the special people that God has placed in my life with extraordinary love! I love the life He gives and live it to the fullest, laughing each and every time I get the chance.
I never want to forget to thank God for making all this possible. Because My God makes All things possible, he blesses me with love immeasurable and grace unknown! My motto: "The most important things in life aren't things."
Hi everyone! My name is Rebekah Odom. I was born in Lubbock, TX but grew up in the metroplex. I moved back to Lubbock before I began high school and attended Lubbock-Cooper for 3 years then graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2010. I fell in love and married Chase Odom, my high school sweetheart, in July of that same year.
Currently, we live in his hometown of Post, TX. My first passion in life has always been horses, but I have been blessed for the past several years with the opportunity to work with camels, zebras, kangaroos, and other exotics on a daily basis as well. Through them , I am witness every day to evidence of God's grand design, hence where my passion of caring for exotics was born. Some of my other favorite things to do include show jumping my horse, Lucky, training my mini pig to do new tricks, singing and playing guitar, and camping or going to the lake with Chase.
In November of 2013, I was given the opportunity to attend a camel training clinic and work with some of the top trainers in the country who provide stunt animals of all species to circuses and movies. I would love to continue to work with camels and learn even more about them as well. I am very passionate about animal welfare (not to be confused with animal rights!).
Chase and I don't have any human children, but we do share our home with a mini pig named Breakfast ('B' for short), a chocolate lab named Gander, a boxer named Stoney, a cat named Whiskers and three American Quarter horses named J.J., Lucky, and Faith- all of which I count first when counting my blessings.
Most important of all, I am a born again christian and thankful for the blood shed for me by Jesus Christ on the cross! God has blessed me and my family beyond what we deserve and for that I'm thankful every day!
Hi, my name is Megan Whitten and I have lived in good old Lubbock, Texas my whole life! I went to Frenship ISD from kindergarten until I graduated in May 2015.
I showed pigs all four years of high school through Frenship FFA. It was one of the best things I have ever done! It made me who I am today by showing me responsibility, how to take care of things other than myself, discipline, and how hard work can really pay off.
My freshman year of high school I got baptized and dedicated my life to following in God's foot steps. He is my Lord and savior and He has gotten me through this crazy thing called life! I had two jobs my senior year of high school so that I could pay for my pigs and all the things that come with showing.
My plan is to continue college in the fall at South Plains College to get my basics done. At the moment I am torn between wanting to pursue a career where I can work with exotic animals or going to medical school and becoming a dermatologist.
I have two fur babies, Moose, who is a Labrador/Border Collie mix and then Dexter, who is Fancy Rat. I love these two animals as if they are my children. In my free time, I love to paint, go to the lake, fish, camp, and ride four-wheelers. I love being silly and making others laugh. My favorite quote is "Money cant buy life." and I try to life my life where I don't focus on money, but other things that are more important.
My job at Frenship Vet Clinic is a huge part of my life and consumes a lot of my time, but I would not have it any other way. I love what I do, my co-workers, all of animals, and clients I get to help and work with.
Hi my name is Jennifer Gaines; I was born and raised here in Lubbock, TX. I graduated from Lubbock-Cooper High School and I am currently attending South Plains College to get my basics but I am unsure of what I want my career to be. I have four siblings, if you know Bekah Odom that you have seen in the clinic, she is my sister. I also have a twin sister named Jessica that will be joining the Navy soon. I also have two brothers, Logan who is 18, and Landon who is 10.
I have seven fur-babies, five dogs and 2 cats; Jax, an American Staffordshire Terrier that is almost 2 years old, Ruby, a fawn pug that is almost 1 year old, Boomer, a Chiweenie that is almost six years old, and Badger, a schnauzer mix that is almost 2 years old. Then my cats, Cookie a black and white domestic short hair that is 8 years old and Buster, an orange tabby that is about 3 years old.
I have been so blessed to join the FVC family and staff! My co-workers are so great to work with and I love my job. I am learning something every day and I love getting sick animals healthy and back to their families' arms.
My life quote and advice to people if asked would be "If it all comes crashing down, kneel, and leave it to God."
"They count on you to care, you can count on us!"
