Tasia Henricks

I began working at Frenship Vet Clinic in September of 2005, after graduating from Frenship High School that same year. I attended Lubbock Christian University and am currently attending South Plains College to finish my basics for the Radiographic Technology program to acquire my X-ray Technician certification.

I have a passion for animals and according to my parents always have.  My ultimate goal is to one day be able to complete Veterinarian School and have my own practice.

I love ALL sports and “me” time. In my spare time I work out, play basketball, swim, play with my dogs, and watch sports. I love photography and take a ton of pictures with any camera. I like to spend my time away from work hanging out with friends and spending time with my family. They keep my life interesting and are a very important part of my life. I have several dogs, four at my house; two are mine; a mixed breed (we’re still trying to figure this one out) named Riley, and a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix, Ellie. Ellie is really the clinic dog, but she stays with me. I also has four dogs at my parent’s house; Misty, a Border collie, Domanei, a Boxer/Lab mix, Caden, a Pit Bull, and Darcy, a Sheltie, all having very different and interesting personalities.

I love working at the Frenship Vet Clinic. I have learned so much working with Dr. Steve, but not just about animals. I’ve learned what we, as a staff have to do behind the scenes to keep the clinic growing, and what it takes to better the clinic and us to keep your pet healthy. I have also learned what it takes to become a responsible adult and contributing member of the community.

I am one of the most blessed girls alive!  Best thing about me, second only to My God, is Keagon Flowers, my son! It’s the greatest privilege in life to be his Mom.  Anyone can be a mother but I’m his MOM! I thank God for that opportunity!  I’m really protective of those I care about- family and friends. I enjoy… spending time with my family, the outdoors, camping, fishing, horses, gardening, enjoying what God has given and never take any of it for granted. I love the special people that God has placed in my life with extraordinary love! I love the life He gives and live it to the fullest, laughing each and every time I get the chance. I never want to forget to thank God for making all this possible.  Because My God makes All things possible, he blesses me with love immeasurable and grace unknown!  My motto: “The most important things in life aren’t things.”

I returned to FVC for the summer after completing my first year in vet school at Texas A&M. I started at the clinic in 2009 and stayed until I graduated from Tech. I will be returning to Texas A&M for my second year of vet school.  I attended New Home Schools where I was involved in athletics and FFA.  I grew up with horses, dogs, cats, and show pigs.  I graduated from New Home High School in 2006 & from Texas Tech University in 2010 with a degree in Wildlife Management.  While at Tech, I volunteered at the South Plains Wildlife Rehab Center.  I will graduate from A&M in May 2014.  After graduation, I hopes to return to the South Plains to practice veterinary medicine.

I’m the “rookie” here at the clinic, just becoming part of the staff in July of this year. I was born in Lubbock and went to Frenship Schools.  I started showing livestock in the 3rd grade and had many winners throughout my showing career at local, county, and state shows. I showed goats, sheep and steers. I also played basketball for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Frenship in 2010.  Last year I attended Blinn College in Brenham, TX and was on the livestock judging team.  I currently attend Texas Tech and am majoring in Ag Education with a minor in Animal Science.

Cindy Stephens

I am Dr. Steve’s wife and work part time at the clinic.  I taught school for 24 years, and currently own my own catering business, and monogramming business.  I also works part time for Lubbock County AgriLife Extension Service as the 4-H Program Assistant.  I grew up participating in 4-H activities and have enjoyed helping the youth of Lubbock County.

Dr. Steve & I have been married 34 years and have 2 kids.  Chelsey Groves is a student nurse coordinator for Parkland Hospital in Dallas.  Seth farms with my dad & brother, works on the ambulance and enjoys racing cars on the dirt track each weekend.

I stay busy serving on the Wolfforth Chamber of Commerce, heading up the Boot Scoot and BBQ Cook-Off each August in Wolfforth, and serving as Secretary for the Community Development Corp., but I’m never too busy for the two precious grandchildren Steve and I have, Bailey is a 7th grader in Lubbock and Cade is almost a year old and lives in Dallas.

Shelby Grey

My name is Shelby Grey. I grew up in Littlefield, TX and graduated from Littlefield High School in May of 2009. My dad is Jamie Grey and he is the Fire Chief of Littlefield. He also raises cattle and does some farming on the side. My mom, Pepper, is the vice president for risk management at an insurance company in Lubbock. I have an older half brother, Kris Parks, who works for a welding company in Lubbock.

I was raised watching and “helping” my dad on our farm as much as I could with our pigs, cows, donkeys and horses. I knew that I wanted to be a veterinarian since I could talk, so that is where my heart has and always will be. I have 2 bird dogs: Mersadies and Kelle, and 2 horses, Annabelle (a Mustang) and Jasmine (an American Quarter Horse).

I graduated from South Plains College with my Associate’s of Science degree in June 2010, and am currently working towards my BS in Pre-Veterinary medicine at Texas Tech University. I plan to get my Doctorate at Colorado State University and specialize in some area of Equine. I love to read, hike, camp, fish, canoe, ski and anything else outside. I just love being outdoors! God, family, friends, and laughing are what I live for day in and day out! I have a very blessed life, and one AWESOME job at FVC that I look forward to everyday!
