In-House Laboratory

We understand that your four-legged family members can’t tell you if they don’t feel well and, in some cases, a seemingly-healthy animal may be masking one or more symptoms of illness or disease.
At Frenship Vet Clinic, our caring veterinary team uses an advanced in-house laboratory and priority reference lab services to provide timely and accurate diagnostic testing for your furry friends. These lab tests are particularly helpful when symptoms are unspecific or tricky to define and help our veterinary doctor make an assessment.
Our in-house laboratory has state-of-the-art equipment and our staff is well-trained and experienced, ensuring that we can accurately and quickly diagnose a wide range of conditions. We also offer off-site referred laboratory services for advanced diagnostic procedures outside of our scope of coverage.

We send samples to a reference lab for testing for procedures like drug sensitivities and bacterial cultures, stone analysis, therapeutic drug monitoring, and other tests which can’t be performed in the clinic.

When using a reference lab, samples are sent to another facility. Because of this, the turn-around time for results is a bit longer than in-house testing, but the thorough information we receive from these types of tests is essential for your pet’s diagnosis and treatment plan.
